Duration: 40 intensive hands on practical grooming lessons approx 9.45am-1.30pm/2pm mon-fri  9am-12.30p/1pm sat&sun
plus 100 hrs homestudy (After the inital 20 days  diploma training course you will need to be working in your salon or as a groomer to work towards the Masters)
Availability: mon- fri and some sat/sun by arrangement all year round.

Entrance Requirements: age 16 plus
Pre req: none aimed at the beginner to gain professional training and qualification to become a fully qualified professional Pet Stylist and work towards the MasterCraftsman
Qualification: OCNNI Level 3 Diploma in professional Grooming & Salon Management & Pet first-aid/cpr and Ocnni Mastercraftsman level 4&5
Certification: This is a nationally and industry recognised qualification which is on the Regulated Qualification Framework
Course Description:
 This is an intensive practical hands on grooming course covering all the professional commercial pet grooming skills and covers clipping/styling and handstripping and pet grooming techniques for popular breeds. The course will also cover salon & business management and equipment maintance and health care, animal welfare and safe handling and restraint methods throughout the course as well as reading dog behaviour and pet first aid and cpr for pet care professionals. Everything for the aspiring groomer. On completion of the 20 days training and diploma students will be able to start there own business and return for a further 20 days improver/advanced training to gain the highest level 4/5 Mastercraftsman award the 20 days will be spread out over a period of 12 months to enable to the student to gain confidence and experience whilst having ongoing training and support and working towards there Mastercraftsman.
Qualification and assessment: Students will achieve an OcnNI Level 3 diploma on successful completion of the course and Membership/listing on the IACC Guild of Pet Professionals and window stickers and pet first-aid cpr training window sticker. Coursework involves building a portfolio of evidence of practical work throughout training and some short answer assignments and online tasks no scarey exams. Ocnni level 4/5 Mastercraftsman award, certification and glass plaque.
